Ferdinand de Lesseps ayant appel\u00e9 notre attention sur les avantages de la jonction de la mer M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e \u00e0 la mer Rouge par une voie navigable pour les grands navires, nous lui avons donn\u00e9 pouvoir exclusif de constituer et de diriger une compagnie universelle pour le percement de l&rsquo;isthme du Suez et l&rsquo;exploitation d&rsquo;un canal entre les deux mers [\u2026].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La dur\u00e9e de la concession est de quatre-vingt-dix-neuf ans. [&#8230;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le gouvernement \u00e9gyptien recevra annuellement de la Compagnie 15 % des b\u00e9n\u00e9fices nets [&#8230;].
